Motorcycle Training in Weston from Morse's and Road To Freedom

Morse's Motorcycles and Road To Freedom help you pass your CBT, Small Bike Test or Direct Access.

Road To Freedom, in conjunction with Morse's motorcycles, offer courses to get you through your test and on the road safely.

In addition to the CBT, Small Bike Test and Direct Access courses, Road To Freedom also provide specific courses targeted and key motorcycle skills not covered in standard tests such as motorway riding, taking pillions for the first time and also refresher courses for those who have had a break from biking.

Compulsory Basic Training (CBT)

The CBT is a short course, with no exam, which all new riders, and riders who have not passed their test within 2 years of their last CBT, must take before riding on the road. It usually takes a full day.

Light Motorcycle Licence

A light motorcycle licence (category A1) will give you full licence entitlement to ride machines up to 125 cc with a power output of up to 11 kW (14.6 bhp)

Standard Motorcycle Licence

A standard motorcycle licence (category A) will restrict you for a period of two years to riding machines with a power output not exceeding 25kW (33bhp) and a power/weight ratio not exceeding 0.16 kW/kg. After the two year period you may ride any motorcycle. This test is taken on a 125cc machine.

Direct Access (DAS)

DAS is a scheme which allows a person over the age of 21 to avoid the two year/25 kW restriction by taking a test on a machine of at least 35 kW (46.6 bhp), usually 500cc. Once you have passed Direct Access there is no restriction on the size of bike you can ride.
